Here's a recent wedding cake made to order. It is a tradition, rich, dark fruit cake, covered with a layer of marzipan and fondant, decorated with sugar flowers.

Buttonholes or Family flowers

Whatever name you choose to call them by, you always have plenty of options to choose from as far as buttonholes go.

To make it a little easier for you to pick, here are a few things you should think about - 

1) Do you prefer stocking flowers, satin flowers or organdy flowers?

2) What is the theme color you are going with?

3) Do you want to use any particular flower to co-ordinate with your bouquet, cake, decor etc.?

Once you have the answers to these questions, it will help you pick better and it will also help us give you suggestions that suit your preferences.

Fondant Birthday Cakes

These are some of my very first fondant cakes.

Needless to say, my cakes have come a long way since then. I have so many new ideas I just can't wait to try.

Lunar Jim Themed Cake

Here's a cake made for a Space Themed birthday party where the star of the party was Lunar Jim from Ceebeebies. The cake is a vanilla cake with a strawberry buttercream covered in fondant to mimic the surface of the moon with Lunar Jim and his trusty sidekick, Rover. All the characters are made of sugar and are completely edible.

Puppy love

This Dalmation themed cake was made for a little girl who loves dogs. Her birthday party was a fancy dress themed one and she dressed up as a Dalmation puppy. Now isn't that cute. Since I was informed about this when the cake was ordered, I decided to use a cute Dalmation puppy topper on the cake. I matched the collar on the puppy to the color of the collar on her costume as well. She was thrilled to pieces when she saw it.

Chocoholics delight

Who here loves chocolate? Crazy question, right? Everybody loves chocolate. If you know someone who is a chocoholic, here's a chocolatey way to brighten up their day.

Start off with a delicious, rustic chocolate cake -

This one was made for someone celebrating their birthday on Valentine's day, hence the little hearts.

If you'd like to skip the cake cutting deal and the extra tableware required, why not opt for chocolate cupcakes? A note of caution, these are so good, you may not be able to stop at one, it is advisable to call for a few extras.

Either way, your chocoholic friend will love you for it.

Say "Happy Anniversary" with cake

This order was completed on a real short notice for a client. The cake is a dark, rich fruit cake with marzipan and fondant. I didn't have any color specifications or any of the sort, so I just went with the flow. The client was very pleased with the way these turned out considering I had less than two days to work on everything.

I thought this was a really sweet way to wish someone a Happy Anniversary. If you have a milestone or an occasion coming up, why not say it with cake? We can whip up something for any occasion.
